Oneiya Neymour is back at the University of The Bahamas after spending the summer in a custodial role at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. She was part of the first Disney Programs participant group from The Bahamas.

Neymour, a marketing student from Andros Island, said she was not initially excited about the custodial placement. Her view changed after working with coordinators and other cast members who helped her learn the role.

One early mistake became her clearest example. On her second day after training, Neymour forgot where the Kali River Rapids restroom was and cleaned the wrong restroom for the entire day. When she told her coordinator, Zuli, the coordinator picked up cleaning tools and helped her finish the correct location.

The group also visited Orlando attractions and toured the Disney Wish during the summer. Its members have returned to university after completing their programs.

The first Bahamas group came through work between the Disney International Programs recruitment team, Disney Cruise Line and the University of The Bahamas.
