Disney World’s Airport Luggage Transfer pilot has expanded from six hotels to nine, adding Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and both Port Orleans resorts.
The current list includes Coronado Springs and Gran Destino Tower, Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. They join the three All-Star resorts, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach and Pop Century.
The exact date of the expansion is not public. On September 27, the service covered six hotels.
Four airlines still participate
Guests must be flying domestically on American Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest or United. The pilot, operated by BagCheck, can move checked bags between Orlando International Airport and a participating Disney hotel for arrival, departure or both.
Registration opens 30 days before a flight and closes 24 hours before departure. For arriving guests, bags can take up to four hours after the flight lands to reach the hotel. Guests can collect them from Luggage Assistance or Bell Services, or request room delivery. Gratuities are not included.
For the return trip, luggage must reach the hotel’s luggage desk between 24 hours and four hours before flight time. Guests need a boarding pass and government-issued photo ID when dropping off bags.
The hotel expansion follows a September update that added JetBlue to the participating airline list.
