Salt & Straw has added five Thanksgiving flavors to its Florida menu, including one built around turkey, bacon and caramel.
The Thanksgiving Series now appears on the company’s Florida scoop-shop menu. Salt & Straw operates a Disney Springs location.
The five Thanksgiving flavors
- Parker House Rolls with Salted Buttercream: Buttered dinner rolls folded into sweet-and-salty butter ice cream.
- Maple Koginut Squash with Pomegranate: Maple and sage ice cream with roasted squash, pomegranate jelly and a cracker-hazelnut crumble.
- Pumpkin Pie with Almond Croissant Streusel: Pumpkin-spice custard with pumpkin pie filling and almond croissant clusters.
- Turkey and Bacon Caramel: Caramel ice cream made with turkey-and-bacon-infused cream and a caramel ribbon.
- Cranberry Shortbread Tart: Coconut cream with orange zest, vanilla and cinnamon, plus cranberry jelly and pieces of cranberry tart. This one is vegan.
Turkey and Bacon Caramel gets its savory base by searing turkey and bacon together, then deglazing the pan with cream. Salt & Straw describes the finished flavor as rich, smooth and salty-sweet.
The five flavors appear together under the monthly collection on Salt & Straw’s Florida menu. The Disney Springs shop is categorized as a snack location in the resort’s dining directory.
