What this ride is like

Pirates of the Caribbean sends guests drifting through eerie caverns, pirate attacks, burning towns, and treasure-filled hideouts in one of Disney's most legendary attractions. Although the ride debuted at Disneyland in 1967, Magic Kingdom originally opened without it because Disney executives believed Florida guests already had enough exposure to pirate culture nearby. Guest demand quickly changed their minds, leading to the Florida version opening in 1973. The ride later inspired the blockbuster film franchise starring Captain Jack Sparrow, who was eventually added into the attraction itself.
