Disney World Single Rider Lines 2026: All 6 Rides & When to Use Them

Test Track and the Muppets coaster have the longest standby averages on Disney's current Single Rider list. Keep your group together when the seat, ride role, or shared first experience matters more than the time saved.

Single Rider lets Disney fill unused seats with guests who agree to split from their party. The line is free, often shorter than standby, and open to anyone who meets the ride's boarding requirements.

Disney's current list has six rides across three parks. Magic Kingdom has none. Expedition Everest remains on that list. Its entrance sign returned after a brief July 27 removal, though the queue still opens only when space is available. Ask a Cast Member before counting on it.

CrowdLevels generated these 90-day averages on July 27, 2026. They measure posted standby waits while each ride was operating. Disney does not publish a comparable historical Single Rider wait, so the numbers show where the alternative line has the biggest job to do, not a guaranteed amount of time saved.

Your party will probably ride in different vehicles

  • Expect to splitDisney fills open seats one guest at a time. Friends can enter together, but they should plan to ride apart.
  • Take the assigned seatImmediate boarding and special seat requests are not guaranteed.
  • Meet every ride ruleSingle Riders must meet the attraction's height and boarding requirements.
  • Check the entranceThe service can open or close during the day. Ask a Cast Member if the sign is unclear.

Single Rider and Rider Switch solve different problems. Rider Switch lets adults take turns when someone cannot ride or cannot wait outside alone. Single Rider fills empty seats and separates the people using it.

Test Track has the longest standby average

Test Track averaged 72.4 posted minutes across the latest 90 days. The 11 a.m. hourly average reached 80 minutes, while the 8 a.m. average was 37.6 minutes.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets averaged 64.2 minutes. Its hourly average stayed above 62 minutes from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. and reached 77.2 minutes at 6 p.m.

That makes Single Rider easy to consider for repeat riders. The 48-inch height rule already narrows the group, and the ride experience does not depend on choosing a cockpit role or keeping six people together.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance averaged 48.1 minutes, with hourly averages above 52 minutes from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. A first-time group may still prefer standby together because the full attraction is a shared experience. Repeat riders have a stronger reason to split.

Hollywood Studios has three Single Rider choices

Disney's Hollywood Studios carries most of the resort's Single Rider lineup. The Muppets coaster and Rise can erase the most standby pressure. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run needs a different decision.

Smugglers Run assigns six cockpit roles. A Single Rider fills an open position after other groups are placed, so pilots and a seat beside your friends are unlikely. Use it for a quick reride or when the cockpit role does not matter. Stay together for a first flight or when your group wants to run the Falcon as one crew.

Smugglers Run averaged 31.4 minutes across 90 days. Its hourly average rose above 44 minutes at 10 a.m. and noon, then fell below 29 minutes after 4 p.m. Check standby before giving up the group experience. A 15-minute evening line is often the better choice.

EPCOT has two Single Rider lines

EPCOT currently offers Single Rider at Test Track and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. Test Track has a 40-inch height requirement. Remy's has no height requirement, which makes it the unusual family attraction on this list.

Test Track's 72.4-minute standby average makes Single Rider especially useful after the first operating hour. Remy's averaged 47.1 minutes. Its hourly average climbed above 54 minutes at 2 p.m. and stayed above 51 minutes through 6 p.m. Families with young children will usually want the shared ride vehicle.

Everest gets easier late in the day

Disney's Animal Kingdom still lists Single Rider at Expedition Everest. The entrance sign disappeared the morning of July 27 and returned after a midday repair, while the queue continues to open only when space is available. Ask a Cast Member before making it part of a touring plan.

Standby averaged 25.9 minutes across 90 days, with the hourly average peaking at 40.9 minutes around noon. The same average fell below 19 minutes after 5 p.m. and reached 11.3 minutes at 6 p.m. A short standby line keeps friends together with little penalty and is now the more dependable choice.

Keep the group together when the ride itself is the point

Use Single RiderUse standby instead
The group has ridden before. This is someone's first ride.
The posted wait is much longer than you want to spend.Standby has already dropped to a comfortable number.
Everyone meets the rules and can navigate the exit alone.A child needs to stay with a specific adult.
You do not care about seat or role assignments.Your group wants Smugglers Run cockpit roles together.
You are fitting in a reride. The queue and preshow are part of the experience you want to share.

Look at the posted standby time when you reach the ride, then ask whether splitting changes the part you care about. At Everest or the Muppets coaster, the answer is often no. On a family's first trip through Rise or first flight on the Falcon, it can change the whole experience.
