Universal Creative project director Anisha Vyas-Burgos gave Epic Universe's first anniversary a sharper "what's next" note, telling WESH there is "more magic" coming out of the park, especially in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. She stopped there.
The anniversary date lands exactly one year after the park opened to the public on May 22, 2025.
Universal's fourth Orlando theme park opened with Celestial Park at its center and four portal worlds around it: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe.
Universal has not turned the hint into a ride announcement, so the line belongs in watch-list territory for now. It still carries weight because Vyas-Burgos is the Universal Creative lead tied to Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, and because the Ministry of Magic land already has a permit trail that park watchers have been following for months.
The permit trail
The construction trail started in November, when a 150,000-square-foot site-utilities and foundation permit appeared at 1001 Epic Blvd. WDW News Today later reported that the permit was updated with Area P905, the internal code tied to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic.
A second filing followed in March. Permit B26901776 called for pre-engineered metal building construction at the same Epic Universe address, with Baker Barrios Architects listed for Universal Orlando and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company listed as the proposed contractor.
A separate March filing clouds the picture. Orlando ParkStop reported that the permit briefly described early work for a future attraction known as Project 680 before the wording changed and the permit disappeared from public search. Project 680 does not line up cleanly with Area P905, so it should be treated as a separate unknown unless Universal says otherwise.
Why the hint has weight
The Harry Potter land already has one of Epic Universe's biggest draws. WFTV reported that Battle at the Ministry has welcomed more than 4 million riders since opening day. WFTV also reported that Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment has passed 5 million riders.
The anniversary gives Universal Orlando its first full-summer marker with four theme parks operating at the resort. Epic Universe joins Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay, with Universal Helios Grand Hotel sitting inside the new park.
Universal's anniversary week also brought a smaller in-park addition. Captain Cacao began meeting guests at Celestial Park on May 22, adding a new photo stop tied to Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets.
The hard evidence stops at the hint, rider totals, and construction paperwork. The next clearer signal would be a fresh permit description, vertical construction near the Wizarding World expansion area, or an announcement from Universal.
