Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets has soft opened to guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios, two days before its formal May 26 opening date.
Guests in the park are reporting that cast members are allowing riders into the physical queue on Sunset Boulevard. The My Disney Experience app still does not list the attraction or show a posted standby wait, so the soft opening is not displaying like a normal operating ride yet.
Disney still has May 26 as the coaster's formal opening date. Soft openings can pause, end early, or skip parts of a day, so guests at Hollywood Studios should treat this as bonus access rather than a guaranteed operating schedule.
The Muppets version keeps the indoor launched coaster layout and replaces Aerosmith with The Electric Mayhem, Scooter, Muppet props, new show scenes, and a fresh soundtrack. Disney has already confirmed songs from The Electric Mayhem, Camilla the Chicken, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Def Leppard, and Kelly Clarkson.
The park already added an 8 a.m. opening for Tuesday, when the coaster, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live, and Walt Disney World's Cool KIDS' SUMMER offerings all land on the same morning.
