Papa Johns is turning Pizza Planet into a real-world pop-up for Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 5, starting June 12 in Los Angeles and Seoul.
The U.S. stop runs at 8180 Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles from noon to 7 p.m. local time on June 12. Timed-ticket reservations open May 29 at noon Eastern.
London follows June 13 and 14 at 471-473 The Arches, Dereham Place. Seoul runs June 12 through June 14 at 72 Seongsu-ro, and Madrid runs June 16 through June 21 at 203 Calle de Serrano.
Pizza Planet Leaves the Screen
The pop-ups are built as retro-style pizza arcades with Pizza Planet boxes, games, collectibles, merchandise, photo ops, and giveaways from brands including adidas and Belkin.
The limited Toy Story 5 menu includes Space Ranger Roni, Sheriff's Roundup, and Reach for the Pie pizzas. Papa Johns is offering the menu in 43 markets from May 26 through July 19.
In the United States, Papa Rewards members also get Operation Pizza, an in-app game that starts June 1 and unlocks Papa Rewards perks for one month.
Toy Story 5 Opens June 19
Toy Story 5 opens in theaters June 19. The new movie brings back Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of the toys as Bonnie's room gets a new tablet character named Lilypad.
Pizza Planet has been part of Toy Story since the original 1995 movie, and this campaign gives it a temporary real-world buildout away from the parks.
