The Loco Beach Coconuts beat the Party Animals 4-3 on May 29 in the first Banana Ball game played at Walt Disney World.

The two-game series is running at The Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Coconuts won the opener on a walkoff, two-run double with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Stitch appeared after the first inning as the game played into the Lilo & Stitch soundtrack. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse later joined the Hey Baby singalong, giving the Florida event a different character mix from the Banana Ball appearances Disneyland Resort has hosted in recent years.

Second Disney World Game

The Coconuts and Party Animals are scheduled to play again on May 30. Disney's event guidance for the weekend includes advance parking passes, clear-bag rules, cashless merchandise tents, and pregame activity near The Stadium.

The Stadium seats more than 9,500 fans at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The venue normally handles youth and amateur sports events, but this weekend brings a traveling sports-entertainment series onto the Walt Disney World campus.
