A Florida mother was arrested after deputies said she helped her juvenile daughter steal more than $2,000 in merchandise from Disney Pin Traders at Disney Springs.
FOX 35 Orlando reported that Ivette Perez was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The case stems from an April 13 incident about an hour before Disney Springs closed.
The Orange County arrest report cited by FOX 35 says a Disney cast member saw the girl placing collectible pins into a personal bag inside Disney Pin Traders. Employees estimated that she took roughly 15 to 40 pins, and deputies said the pair left the store without paying.
Deputies said Perez told investigators she knew the girl was taking merchandise and did not have enough money to buy the items. FOX 35 also reported that court records list a not-guilty plea.
The charges are allegations, not findings of guilt.
