Six Flags Over Texas has paused grand-opening plans for Tormenta Rampaging Run after the coaster's commissioning and testing process took longer than expected.
The Arlington park no longer has a public opening date for the 309-foot giga dive coaster. Six Flags previously listed a June 26 opening date for Tormenta Rampaging Run, which anchors the new Rancho de la Tormenta section between the Mexico and Spain areas of the park.
Tormenta Opening Date Removed
Six Flags Over Texas also removed the public opening date from the Tormenta Rampaging Run attraction page. The park says it will announce a new opening date when the ride is ready.
The coaster is still listed with a 309-foot height, an 87 mph top speed, a 285-foot first drop at 95 degrees, and 4,199 feet of track. The listed rider height range remains 48 inches minimum and 76 inches maximum.
CrowdLevels covered the June 26 date when Six Flags posted it on June 16. This follow-up replaces that timing with the current official status: the opening plan is paused, and the next date has not been announced.
