A Mobile Order location check is appearing at select Walt Disney World resort restaurants, with My Disney Experience blocking some orders until a guest is closer to the hotel.

RockNstardust, a guest posting on X, shared a "You're Too Far Away" message when trying to place a Walt Disney World resort Mobile Order from elsewhere on June 26.

Walt Disney World Mobile Order Location Check

WDW News Today later tested additional locations and found the restriction active at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

The reported locations include Gasparilla Island Grill, Contempo Cafe, Steakhouse 71 To Go, Capt. Cook's, Kona Cafe To Go, Wailulu Bar & Grill To Go, Roaring Fork, and Geyser Point Bar & Grill To Go.

Disney has not announced a blanket resort-wide policy. WDWNT's testing found Mobile Order still available from farther away at other Walt Disney World resort hotels.

Location Check at Resort Hotels

Walt Disney World guests use Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering through My Disney Experience to order and pay for meals and snacks before pickup.

The location check can affect guests who place quick-service orders before arriving at Magic Kingdom-area resort hotels. It also arrives as Disney Springs transportation verification starts June 28, a separate policy that limits resort-bound buses and Sassagoula River Cruise boats from Disney Springs to guests with qualifying hotel, dining, or experience reservations.

Update: TouringPlans later tested the same Mobile Order restriction and also found it at Wailulu Bar & Grill To Go at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. That adds Wailulu to the list of affected restaurants found during public app testing.
