Walt Disney Imagineering extended a set-installation Notice of Commencement tied to the future Indiana Jones ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom, keeping the public construction record active into July 2027.
The extension applies to Notice of Commencement #20250455581 for 501 Restaurantosaurus Road, the former DINOSAUR address. Mecca Productions, Inc. is attached to the permit for "Install set elements."
The new expiration lands inside Disney's announced 2027 opening window for Tropical Americas. Disney has not announced a narrower opening date for the land or the Indiana Jones ride.
What the Extension Covers
The notice covers set work for the DINOSAUR building conversion. It is separate from the May 27 permit that named Icarus Exhibits for additional set installation at the same address.
The permit does not identify ride scenes, props, opening timing, or guest-facing changes. The useful detail is the contractor and the active record window: Mecca Productions remains tied to set work at the former DINOSAUR building through July 2027.
Tropical Americas Context
Disney is replacing DinoLand U.S.A. with Tropical Americas, a new land centered on Pueblo Esperanza. The project includes an Indiana Jones attraction, the first Encanto ride at a Disney park, a carousel with carved Disney animal figures, a new restaurant, and a playground.
Disney's April project update placed the land in the rainforests and communities of Central and South America, with Imagineering research tied to Maya art, Colombian locations, architecture, color, and local materials.
