CrowdLevels recorded 420 minutes of Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress downtime across nine events in the two weeks before the attraction's July 6 closure at Magic Kingdom.

At 9:01 a.m. EDT on July 4, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress was operating with a 5-minute posted wait in CrowdLevels' current-status feed. That snapshot did not show an active outage.

Carousel of Progress Downtime Before Closure

The largest recent interruption ran 140 minutes on July 1, from 7:10 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. EDT. CrowdLevels also recorded a 25-minute downtime event on July 3, from 5:10 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. EDT.

The 14-day count includes two downtime events June 23, one June 27, one June 28, two June 29, two July 1, and one July 3. Morning samples on July 4 showed no downtime events.

July 6 Carousel of Progress Closure

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress is scheduled to become temporarily unavailable beginning July 6, 2026. Disney expects the attraction to reopen in 2027 with new show scenes and a Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic figure.

CrowdLevels previously covered the closure and new scene plan. The July 6 shutdown is separate from the short downtime events CrowdLevels recorded before the refurbishment begins.
