City News Service reported that Buena Park police increased security at Knott's Berry Farm Saturday after learning of an unauthorized gathering promoted online.
Police worked with Knott's Berry Farm and regional public-safety partners to identify the organizers. The department warned that officers would take enforcement action against criminal or disruptive behavior.
Authorities did not release a time, expected attendance, or other details about the gathering. The warning followed a July 4 crowd surge in Newport Beach that led to more than 400 arrests and citations.
No follow-up report of a major incident at Knott's Berry Farm had been released early Sunday.
