Knott's Berry Farm has postponed the July 20 media preview and public opening of MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress, according to the Orange County Register's original report. The park has not announced a replacement date.

Knott's maintenance and operations crews need more time to address a few additional details. Park officials expect the delay to last days rather than weeks or months.

The $20 million rebuild includes a new train, electromagnetic launch, track and supports. Only the station remains from Montezooma's Revenge, which closed in 2022.

Knott's had scheduled the July 20 preview one week earlier. The attraction's official page still lists a 2026 relaunch.
