Disney is cutting several hundred jobs across Pixar, ESPN, National Geographic, Disney Entertainment Television and corporate teams, a company representative confirmed to Variety.

Pixar accounts for most of the studio reductions. National Geographic has the largest share of the cuts within Disney's television business.

Many of the ESPN positions are tied to the integration of NFL Network operations. The reductions also reach other studio and corporate functions.

Disney did not provide separate totals for each business. The company reports its fiscal third-quarter results on August 5.
