The project will use rare archival footage and new interviews, including a sit-down with Andrews. Its scope begins with her childhood and early performances in British vaudeville, then follows her work in Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, The Princess Diaries and other roles.

This Machine, a Sony Pictures Television company, is producing. Trevor Smith, Elise Pearlstein, Jane Cha Cutler and Jonathan Ruane are producers, with Mark Blatty serving as executive producer.

Disney+ has not announced the documentary's title or an exact 2027 release date.
