The large sliding doors between the queue and the Hondo Ohnaka preshow room on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run are opening and closing again at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
During a July 26 visit, both doors completed a full cycle as they met in the center, remained closed and then reopened. The sequence appears in a firsthand report and video from WDW News Today.
What the restored doors change
The doors separate the main queue from the room where Hondo recruits each crew. When Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened, they stayed closed between groups and opened to begin the briefing. They later stopped moving and remained open.
The restored cycle brings back that physical transition into the preshow. It does not change the ride's height requirement, cockpit roles or mission selection.
The Mandalorian and Grogu mission remains in place
The Mandalorian and Grogu version of Smugglers Run remains in place. Each six-person cockpit assigns two pilots, two gunners and two engineers. An engineer selects one of three destinations for the crew.
The current Hondo preshow supports that mission before guests enter the Millennium Falcon's main hold and then move to the cockpit.
