The extension to Disney's Animal Kingdom bus depot is complete and open. WDW News Today reported the opening on August 3 after construction began in late 2025.
The addition brings four bus stops to the end of the existing row. They serve transfers to Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Pop Century Resort.
What changed at the depot
The new section has themed signs, large ceiling-mounted fans, railings for waiting queues, fresh paving and lampposts along the sidewalk. Those details give guests a finished transfer area instead of a construction edge at the back of the depot.
Walt Disney World's bus transportation page continues to list complimentary bus service between the resort's parks, hotels and Disney Springs. The new Animal Kingdom extension adds capacity at one park's existing bus hub.
