UPDATE: Magic Kingdom had 10 attractions listed unavailable at 9:00 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Aug. 5. That brought the current closure picture to three Orlando theme parks. Magic Kingdom was scheduled to remain open until 11 p.m. EDT.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Jungle Cruise were among the Magic Kingdom attractions unavailable. Most of those closures began between 7:15 and 7:20 p.m. EDT, and the rides remained unavailable more than 100 minutes later.
At Epic Universe, seven rides remained unavailable, including Stardust Racers, Mine-Cart Madness and Curse of the Werewolf. At Islands of Adventure, 13 attractions remained unavailable, including Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Jurassic World VelociCoaster and The Incredible Hulk Coaster. Both Universal parks were scheduled to close at 9 p.m. EDT.
Thunderstorms and rain were reported at Orlando Executive Airport at 6:45 and 6:53 p.m. EDT, followed by light rain at 7:20 p.m., according to National Weather Service observations. The weather coincided with the closure window. No operator explanation or reopening time was available.
Guests still in the parks should check current attraction status before crossing between lands.
