Walt Disney Imagineering will reveal a newly rediscovered Society of Explorers and Adventurers artifact during an Aug. 14 presentation at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
The artifact sits inside a crate that had remained unopened in the fictional society's archive for at least a century. Neither Imagineering nor S.E.A. knows what is inside. The reveal is part of “An Inside Look at the Society of Explorers and Adventurers” in the Imagineering Pavilion.
S.E.A. connects Disney attraction stories around the world
The Society of Explorers and Adventurers links characters and backstories across Disney attractions. Its members include Harrison Hightower III from Tokyo DisneySea's Tower of Terror, Lord Henry Mystic from Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland and Dr. Albert Falls from Jungle Cruise lore.
Disney will also use the presentation to introduce more of the society's adventurers. Walt Disney Imagineering plans to post updates from the event on its official Instagram account.
