Tormenta Rampaging Run returned to service Saturday evening after a technical delay that lasted nearly 50 minutes. The interval included the time needed to unload riders and reset the coaster.
A Six Flags Over Texas spokesperson told WFAA that the train stopped at a designated stopping point with 48 guests aboard. Trained team members safely unloaded everyone before the ride resumed operation shortly afterward.
The spokesperson described the trigger as a safety-system sensor, comparing it to a car's check-engine warning. A coaster will not continue operating while that sensor is engaged.
Six Flags continued to label Tormenta Rampaging Run “Now Open” on Sunday. The 309-foot coaster is located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington.
