Tormenta Rampaging Run is now open at Six Flags Over Texas, adding a 309-foot giga dive coaster to the Arlington amusement park.

The coaster anchors Rancho de la Tormenta in the park's Mexico and Spain area. Its record claims cover tallest dive coaster, highest 95-degree beyond-vertical drop, fastest dive coaster, highest Immelmann inversion, tallest vertical coaster loop, and longest dive coaster.

Tormenta Rampaging Run Opening Day

Tormenta carries riders to 309 feet, pauses before a 285-foot first drop, and reaches 87 mph. The coaster has 4,199 feet of track.

The listed rider height range is 48 inches minimum and 78 inches maximum.

The opening follows several weeks of schedule changes. Six Flags paused the original June 26 debut while commissioning and testing continued, later set a July 9 public opening, and then began technical rehearsals for members and season pass holders July 3.
