Six Flags Over Texas released the official Tormenta Rampaging Run POV video Wednesday morning, giving riders a full on-ride look at the coaster before its July 9 grand opening in Arlington.

Tormenta Opens July 9

Six Flags Over Texas has Tormenta Rampaging Run set to open Thursday, July 9. The coaster anchors Rancho de la Tormenta in the park's Spain area.

The coaster is billed by Six Flags as the world's tallest, fastest, longest, and first giga dive coaster. It rises 309 feet, drops 285 feet, reaches 87 mph, and runs along 4,199 feet of track.

Riders must be at least 48 inches tall and no taller than 78 inches.

Latest Step After Preview Rides

The POV arrives after several weeks of opening-date changes. Six Flags paused the original June 26 opening plan while commissioning and testing continued, set July 9 as the public opening, then opened technical rehearsals to members and season pass holders July 3.
