Phony premiered Tuesday, October 20 on Hulu on Disney+, with Sam Nivola and Connie Britton leading the coming-of-age mystery.
Nivola plays Sam, a teenager who wakes up in the hospital after a car accident and begins to suspect that his mother, Ellen, has been replaced by an impostor. Britton plays Ellen, Sam’s only parent and best friend.
Nick Paley created the series. The cast also includes Grace Brennan, Maliq Johnson, Colter Lee, Meera Syal and Mahaela Park.
