More than 10 prospective buyers have approached Siam Amazing Park's owners after the Bangkok property was offered for sale earlier this month.
Wuthichai Luangamornlert, managing director of operator Siam Park City, told Bangkok Biznews that the interested parties include Thai and foreign investors and property developers.
Proposals cover the land and the operating company
Some prospective buyers want only the park's 250-rai site, about 40 hectares. Others have proposed buying the company so they can continue operating and developing the business, according to Wuthichai.
No buyer has been selected and no sale has been completed. The park's owners are weighing acceptable offers while also pursuing a plan to restore normal operations.
The park is considering two paths
Wuthichai said his father, founder and executive chairman Chaiwat Luangamornlert, asked the family to prepare for either recovery or a sale. The land was offered for about 10 billion baht in early October.
If a buyer acquires only the property, the company would like to move its rides to another site near Bangkok. Specialists would first need to decide whether repairing, moving or replacing the rides makes financial sense.
The park's recovery timetable and any relocation remain unsettled. The amusement park zone is expected to remain closed for about six months while overseas specialists inspect ride safety systems, according to the English account of Wuthichai's interview.
