The Electric Mayhem is not even taking public riders yet, and Passholders are already crowding the calendar. BlogMickey reported Monday that Annual Passholder park reservations for Disney's Hollywood Studios are booked for May 21 and May 22, two of the three preview dates for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. WDW News Today also reported the same squeeze, with May 23 still showing availability at the time of its report.
This does not mean Disney has declared the park full, and reservation availability can change as guests modify plans. It does show that Passholders are already lining up their preview plans, and the week also includes a major Star Wars update on May 22.
The preview path is not totally closed
Passholder previews for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets run May 21, May 22, and May 23. The preview uses a virtual queue with three daily distribution windows: 7 a.m. for Passholders with a reservation to the Studios, 11 a.m. for Passholders with a reservation to any theme park, and 3 p.m. for all Passholders with valid admission and no reservation required.
The 7 a.m. virtual queue entry is tied to having the required park reservation. The 11 a.m. option requires starting with another park reservation and following Disney's park-hopping rules. The 3 p.m. option is broader, but boarding groups are limited and Disney warns that joining the virtual queue does not guarantee a preview ride.
May 22 has two fan magnets
The new Mandalorian and Grogu mission for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run also launches May 22 at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, adding fresh destinations, new crew interactions, and a Grogu-focused engineer role to the cockpit experience.
The preview and attraction dates now run across several days. May 21 starts the Passholder preview. May 22 adds the Smugglers Run update and the film-release tie-in. May 23 remains the final listed preview date. May 26 is the public opening for the Muppets coaster, and Disney says a virtual queue is not planned for the public debut.
The preview dates and the Smugglers Run update both fall during the same holiday-week stretch at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
