EPCOT Early Entry is a two-entrance problem. The front gate puts you near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, Soarin', Mission: SPACE, Spaceship Earth, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. International Gateway puts you near Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After.
Early Theme Park Entry currently gives eligible Disney Resort hotel and select hotel guests 30 minutes before regular park opening. The current EPCOT Early Entry lineup includes Frozen Ever After, Guardians, Mission: SPACE, Remy, Soarin', Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Pick your first ride before you scan in. EPCOT is too spread out for wandering.
The three best EPCOT Early Entry starts
Use Guardians first if your group wants the biggest ride payoff and you are entering from the front of the park. CrowdLevels had Guardians at an 86.8-minute 90-day average, the highest of the EPCOT Early Entry set, and the 9 a.m. hour averaged 92.7 minutes across the 90-day pull.
Use Test Track first if your group is near the front and wants the simplest front-entrance plan. It averaged 39.6 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour and 75.8 minutes in the 9 a.m. hour. The warning is reliability: Test Track's 90-day reliability score was 87.8, with 1,996 downtime minutes across 26 days with downtime.
Use Remy first from International Gateway. It is closer than Frozen, sells out Lightning Lane later than Test Track while still moving early, and keeps you in World Showcase without a long opening sprint. Frozen is the cleaner family-first pick when Norway is the actual priority.
Data note: CrowdLevels pulled EPCOT 90-day attraction profiles, hourly wait buckets, current ride rows, and dashboard rankings on June 4, 2026. The 8 a.m. hour is the closest stable proxy for a typical 8:30 a.m. Early Entry window on a 9 a.m. opening day.
Front entrance plan: Guardians or Test Track
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the best front-gate answer if your group is ready for it. It had the highest 90-day average in this guide at 86.8 minutes, a 95.2 reliability score, and 739.6 downtime minutes across 15 days with downtime.
The ride is also a weird first bite of EPCOT. Some groups want coffee and Spaceship Earth before they want a spinning indoor coaster. Fine. If that is your group, Test Track is the calmer first target. Save Guardians for Lightning Lane Single Pass.
Test Track is the cleaner physical route from the front gate. It averaged 39.6 minutes at 8 a.m., 75.8 minutes at 9 a.m., and 80.6 minutes at 10 a.m. CrowdLevels also recorded the earliest EPCOT Lightning Lane pressure here: Test Track averaged a 9:29 a.m. actionable sustained sellout across all 30 tracked days from May 5 through June 3.
The headache is downtime. Test Track led the recent EPCOT downtime dashboard with 9 hours and 1 minute across 5 days in the 7-day window ending June 4. If it is closed or already messy at Early Entry, move. Soarin' is nearby. Guardians is nearby. Standing still is the bad plan.
International Gateway plan: Remy first, Frozen when it fits better
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is the default International Gateway start because France is the closest major target. The 90-day average was 55.1 minutes, and CrowdLevels had Remy averaging a 10:40 a.m. actionable Lightning Lane sellout across the 30-day window.
Remy looks less dramatic in the hourly table because the International Gateway crowd gets there fast. Location drives the call. If you arrive by Skyliner, boat, BoardWalk-area hotel path, or Swan and Dolphin walk, France is right there. Use the advantage you actually have.
Frozen Ever After is the better start for groups with little kids, Norway plans, or a hard Frozen request. It averaged 30.7 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour, 48.7 minutes at 9 a.m., and 60.9 minutes at noon. Its 30-day actionable Lightning Lane sellout average was 10:20 a.m., with sellouts on all 30 tracked days.
Trying to win both World Showcase headliners only works when the posted waits stay friendly. Remy to Frozen is a long enough walk that one slow load, one stroller slowdown, or one bathroom stop can eat the whole head start.
The best second rides are close rides
Soarin' Across America is the front-entrance second ride that makes the most sense after Test Track or Guardians. It averaged 6.8 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour, 20.9 minutes at 9 a.m., and 40.0 minutes at 10 a.m. Save it for the second slot.
Spaceship Earth is the classic EPCOT mistake at opening. It sits right in front of you, which makes it tempting. CrowdLevels had it at 4.3 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour and 10.4 minutes at 9 a.m. Save it for later unless the whole group refuses to walk past the giant ball. Pick your vacation arguments carefully.
Mission: SPACE is also a second-tier Early Entry target. It averaged 12.6 minutes at 8 a.m. and 15.4 minutes at 9 a.m., with a strong 99.6 reliability score. Good if you are already in World Discovery. Weak as the main reason you got up early.
Lightning Lane timing changes the pick
Test Track, Frozen, and Remy all sold out actionable Lightning Lane availability on all 30 tracked days in the CrowdLevels dashboard window from May 5 through June 3. Test Track went first at 9:29 a.m. on average, followed by Frozen at 10:20 a.m. and Remy at 10:41 a.m.
That makes the first booked Lightning Lane matter. If you are starting at International Gateway, booking Test Track can protect the front-of-park ride you are skipping. If you are starting at the front gate, booking Remy or Frozen can keep World Showcase from becoming a punishment walk later.
Soarin' is more forgiving. It had 19 days with Lightning Lane data in the 30-day window, with 9 actionable sellout days and an average actionable sellout around 2:50 p.m. Use that as a second or third selection after the headliner reservation.
What to skip during EPCOT Early Entry
Skip the giant cross-park plan. Front entrance to Remy wastes the front-gate advantage. International Gateway to Test Track wastes the back-gate advantage. That route starts with a long walk before the park wakes up.
Skip Spaceship Earth as a first ride unless it is the whole point. The 8 a.m. average was 4.3 minutes, and the 9 a.m. average was 10.4 minutes. That line is usually easier to absorb after the first real target.
Skip The Seas as a strategy ride. It averaged 4.5 minutes at 8 a.m. and 5.6 minutes at 9 a.m. Save it for small kids, rain, heat, or a group that needs a reset.
Three clean EPCOT Early Entry plans
The front-gate thrill plan: Guardians first, then Test Track if the posted wait and status look sane. If Test Track is down or ugly, walk to Soarin' and save Test Track for Single Rider or Lightning Lane.
The front-gate practical plan: Test Track first, Soarin' second, Spaceship Earth later. This is the best fit for groups that want a cleaner route and can save Guardians for another window.
The International Gateway plan: Remy first, then Frozen only if the posted wait is still reasonable. If Frozen already looks rough, keep walking with your World Showcase morning intact and use Lightning Lane for the second headliner.
EPCOT Early Entry FAQ
What is the best ride for EPCOT Early Entry?
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the best front-entrance Early Entry ride for thrill groups. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is the best International Gateway first ride. Test Track is the practical front-gate backup with a real downtime warning.
Should you start with Remy or Frozen from International Gateway?
Start with Remy unless Frozen matters more to your group. Remy is closer to International Gateway, while Frozen is the better family-first choice when Norway is already on your morning route.
Is Soarin' worth riding during Early Entry?
Soarin' Across America is worth riding as a second ride from the front half of the park. Give it the first slot only when everyone in your group specifically wants it.
