Best Magic Kingdom Early Entry Rides: 3 Smart Starts Using CrowdLevels Data

Use Magic Kingdom Early Entry for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train if you are near the front. Use it for Peter Pan's Flight if you want the cleaner Fantasyland morning. Use it for Space Mountain if your group is already choosing Tomorrowland. Everything else is filler, and some filler is much better than others.

Guests riding Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom Early Entry gives Disney hotel guests 30 extra minutes. Treat it like a short head start, because that is all it is. Pick the wrong long ride, arrive behind the pack, or drift into the wrong land, and the extra time disappears before the park officially opens.

Early Theme Park Entry currently includes select Fantasyland and Tomorrowland attractions at Magic Kingdom. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Haunted Mansion sit outside the current list. Save the left side of the park for regular rope drop or a Lightning Lane plan.

The three best Early Entry starts

Choose Seven Dwarfs Mine Train if you are early enough to be near the front of the resort-guest crowd. CrowdLevels 90-day data had the ride averaging 25.5 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour and 51.1 minutes in the 9 a.m. hour. That is the clearest wait jump in the Early Entry set.

Choose Peter Pan's Flight if your group wants a calmer Fantasyland win or you are already too far back for Mine Train. Peter Pan averaged 20.7 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour and 40.6 minutes in the 9 a.m. hour, with a 25.6-minute 90-day average. It is still old, slow-loading, and weirdly sticky. The line gets annoying with very little encouragement.

Choose Space Mountain if Tomorrowland is your morning. Space Mountain averaged only 9.5 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour, then 29.9 minutes in the 9 a.m. hour and 39.4 minutes in the 10 a.m. hour. The warning is reliability: over the 90-day profile, Space Mountain had a 92.1 reliability score and 2,931 downtime minutes across 19 days with downtime.

How to use it
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
25.5 min
51.1 min
Best payoff if you are near the front. Skip if you are staring at a giant queue before the clock starts.
Peter Pan's Flight
20.7 min
40.6 min
Best low-stress Fantasyland pick, especially with kids or a stroller-heavy group.
Space Mountain
9.5 min
29.9 min
Best Tomorrowland start. Have a backup ready because downtime has been the roughest of the top three.
Buzz Lightyear

22.8 min
Good second ride after Space Mountain. Weak first ride unless the group really loves it.

Data note: CrowdLevels pulled 90-day attraction profiles on June 3, 2026. Hourly averages use local park-hour buckets, so the 8 a.m. hour is the useful proxy for a typical 8:30 a.m. Early Entry window on a 9 a.m. opening day.

Seven Dwarfs is the best answer only from the front

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is the headline Early Entry pick because the wait gap is huge. Its 8 a.m. hourly average was 25.5 minutes, then 51.1 minutes at 9 a.m. and 54.1 minutes at 10 a.m. The 90-day max hit 100 minutes.

Plenty of resort guests should still skip the Mine Train scrum. If you reach the Fantasyland bridge and the crowd already looks like a small parade route, bail. Peter Pan is closer than Tomorrowland, loads slower than it should, and can still save a real chunk of the morning.

There is also a downtime note. Seven Dwarfs logged 1,359.9 downtime minutes across 16 days with downtime in the 90-day profile. In the most recent 7-day Magic Kingdom dashboard window, it ranked third in downtime with 11 hours across 5 days. If it is down at Early Entry, do not stand there refreshing your app like it owes you money. Walk to Peter Pan or Space Mountain.

Peter Pan is the best practical Fantasyland start

Peter Pan is a better first ride than it sounds if you are not fighting for the Mine Train front row. Its 8 a.m. average was 20.7 minutes, then 40.6 minutes at 9 a.m., 42.7 minutes at 10 a.m., and 46.0 minutes at 11 a.m. That line gets stubborn fast.

The move is simple: Peter Pan first, then The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid, or "it's a small world" depending on where your group is headed at official open. Do not cross the park for a filler ride. That is how a good morning turns into a footwear test.

Peter Pan's Flight works when you want the Fantasyland win without betting the whole morning on Mine Train.

Space Mountain is the Tomorrowland plan with the best upside

Space Mountain is the cleanest Tomorrowland first ride. It averaged 9.5 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour, then nearly tripled to 29.9 minutes in the 9 a.m. hour. By 11 a.m., the 90-day hourly average was 47.9 minutes.

The route is tidy. Ride Space Mountain, then use Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin if it is nearby and posted low. Buzz averaged 6.2 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour and 22.8 minutes at 9 a.m., which makes it a good add-on after Space Mountain but a soft first pick.

The downside is downtime. Space Mountain led the recent Magic Kingdom downtime dashboard with 18 hours and 11 minutes across 5 days in the 7-day window ending June 3, 2026. If it is down when you arrive, Buzz is the lazy backup. The stronger pivot is Peter Pan if you can still move before the bridge crowd hardens.

The best filler rides are route rides

Filler rides are useful when they sit on the path you already chose. They become a trap when they talk you out of the first ride that actually needed the head start.

Fantasyland filler starts with Little Mermaid. It averaged 2.5 minutes in the 8 a.m. hour, 5.8 minutes at 9 a.m., and 12.0 minutes at 10 a.m. It is a great second or third ride after Peter Pan or Mine Train because it eats people efficiently and keeps you close to the back of Fantasyland.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant is good with small kids if you are already in Storybook Circus. It averaged 3.2 minutes at 8 a.m. and 11.0 minutes at 9 a.m. The line grows, but the whole morning should not orbit Dumbo unless Dumbo is the point of your morning.

Tomorrowland filler is Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover if your group wants a breather, or Buzz if you still want a game ride. PeopleMover averaged 2.4 minutes at 8 a.m. and 4.7 minutes at 9 a.m. It is almost never the correct first ride. It is excellent when somebody needs to sit for ten minutes and pretend the day is under control.

What to skip during the 30 minutes

The 30-minute window rewards rides that either spike hard after official open or protect the route you already picked. A ride can be fun and still be a weak Early Entry first target. That is the whole annoyance here.

Start by skipping anything outside the current Early Entry lineup. TRON Lightcycle / Run, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Tiana's Bayou Adventure belong in the regular rope-drop, Lightning Lane, or later-day plan. Standing around near those areas during Early Entry burns the exact minutes you paid hotel prices to get.

Better use
2.6 min
6.3 min
A toddler promise. Ride it after Peter Pan or while another adult handles coffee, bags, or stroller drama.
4.8 min
16.3 min
A family-request ride only. It eats more time than the posted wait suggests and leaves you awkwardly placed for Fantasyland.
PeopleMover
2.4 min
4.7 min
A reset after Space Mountain or Buzz. It is lovely, but the wait barely needs protecting.
Buzz Lightyear
6.2 min
22.8 min
A strong second ride after Space Mountain. As the first ride, it gives away the bigger Space Mountain wait jump.
Dumbo
3.2 min
11.0 min
Good if your kid has been talking about it all week. Otherwise, keep it as Storybook Circus filler.

Also skip the slow cross-park pivot. Seven Dwarfs into Space Mountain sounds efficient on paper until you remember the bridge crowd, stroller traffic, and the second ride's best window already leaking away. Stay in Fantasyland after a Fantasyland start. Stay in Tomorrowland after a Tomorrowland start.

Skip any idea that starts with "we'll just see." Magic Kingdom Early Entry is too short for vibes. Pick Fantasyland or Tomorrowland before you scan in, then use filler rides only after the first real target is done.

Three clean plans

The aggressive Fantasyland plan: Seven Dwarfs first, Peter Pan second only if the line still looks reasonable, then Little Mermaid or Pooh. At official open, decide whether you are walking left toward Haunted Mansion, Frontierland, or Adventureland.

The calmer Fantasyland plan: Peter Pan first, Pooh second, Little Mermaid third. This is the plan for kids, strollers, and groups that do not want the Mine Train crowd squeeze before breakfast.

The Tomorrowland plan: Space Mountain first, Buzz second, PeopleMover only if you need the break. If Space Mountain is down, either ride Buzz quickly and reset, or move fast toward Peter Pan before the official-open wave arrives.
