Guests were allowed back inside Disney's Wilderness Lodge by 5:25 p.m. EDT Wednesday after a temporary evacuation at the Walt Disney World resort hotel.

WDW News Today, citing a current guest at the property, reported that the guest smelled something odd in the lobby area but did not see visible smoke. The outlet also reported multiple fire trucks and ambulances at the resort during the evacuation.

No cause has been publicly confirmed. Orange County Fire Rescue routes active incident lookup through PulsePoint. WDWActiveCrime, an independent sheriff-call tracker, had no active Walt Disney World calls in its public view later Wednesday evening.

Wilderness Lodge Evacuation Details

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a Deluxe Resort hotel in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area at Walt Disney World, with watercraft and motorcoach transportation options.

The evacuation follows a separate week of cooling problems at the resort. CrowdLevels previously covered Wilderness Lodge air-conditioning issues after a Walt Disney World spokesperson told the Orlando Sentinel that crews had been working around the clock on the cooling system.
