Tormenta Rampaging Run began technical rehearsals for members and season pass holders at Six Flags Over Texas on July 3, putting riders on the Arlington park's new coaster before its public grand opening.

Guide to SFOT reported the July 3 previews from inside the park. Signs at the front of the park described the rides as technical rehearsals and warned that the coaster could operate intermittently, so the preview should not be treated as guaranteed ride time.

Tormenta Preview Rides Before July 9

Six Flags Over Texas still has July 9 set as the public grand-opening date on the official Tormenta Rampaging Run page. Six Flags is also promoting exclusive member access, with season pass preview updates still marked as coming.

Tormenta Rampaging Run anchors Rancho de la Tormenta in the park's Mexico and Spain area. The coaster stands 309 feet tall, reaches 87 mph, has a 285-foot first drop at 95 degrees, and runs along 4,199 feet of track.

The listed rider height range is 48 inches minimum and 78 inches maximum.

The preview follows a moved opening calendar. Six Flags paused the original June 26 opening plan while commissioning and testing continued, then set the July 9 public opening earlier this week.
